Love Food Central Cafe: A Plant-Based Culinary Delight in St. Petersburg

We loved our Love Burgers, mac'n'cheese and the Cesar salad was incredible. We finished the meal with the best Key Lime Pie ever and a beet velvet cake. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant with a beautiful vibe.

The cheeseplate is legendary, salads are amazing, sides and specials are awesome, desserts are phenomenal (KEY LIME PIE, cheesecake, etc) please bring back the soft serve, it was the best vegan ice cream in town!! I was coming here for years before I even realized it was gluten-free.

I've been a veg for approximately 30 years, so I've sampled many veggie/vegan restaurants. I found Love Food to be just okay. Since Golden Dinosaurs closed, I've been searching for a replacement vegan Ruben sandwich, so I was super excited to see the Cuban Ruben on the menu. I knew it was going to be a variation on a Ruben when Rye bread wasn't offered as an option. When I received it, I found that the choice to use tempeh instead of seiten created a sandwich texture that shouldn't be used in conjunction with any interpretation of a Ruben sandwich. It takes more than sauerkraut onba sandwich to make a Ruben! My husband got a sausage Flatbread that was of good flavor, but very pasty in texture. I think some work needs to be done on food textures here. We found both items to be tasty but just a little offputting due to mouth feel. We also found the price to be rather high for a counter service restaurant and for the portion sizes we received. With all of that said, the person who took our order was super welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. So wonderful!! Will we come back? Not sure. I'll continue my search for my replacement vegan Ruben. We'll see how the other vegan restaurants in the neighborhood stack up.

Loooove this place! Their food is PHENOMENAL! I took my mom here who is not vegan and she thought it was super delicious. We ordered the Banh mi Burger, the Mac & Cheez, and the Sunshine salad, all of which were divine. We sat outside on a sunny afternoon and it was vibe central.

I cannot say enough about how delicious this all vegan kitchen is. The veggies are super fresh. The vibe is so chill and the staff are super friendly with street side picnic table seating. If you buy a t shirt, you get 10% off your orders in the future if you are wearing it. The Kale Caesar is my absolute fave with a creamy cashew base, the leafys are ever so slightly sweetened to offset the kale bitters. Whatever soup they have for the day, get it. They are all phenom-nom-nomenal. They have a bakery portion that changes regularly. I like to frequent the beet cupcakes. They are super moist with hints if beet flavor that is really delightful. The Carmelita's are overwhelmingly delicious. The cheesecake is a perfect balance of sweet and fresh fruits. Thanks for sharing so much love! It was my first time visiting, and I was not disappointed. They have the most delicious vegan food I've had in a while. The caramelita dessert was amazing (not pictured because it was devoured in second). I compare it to a magic bar in the non vegan world. I'm definitely coming back to try more items!

Such a gem! This gluten-free vegan spot has the best mac and cheese in town creamy, flavorful, and so comforting. The staff is super friendly, and the cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
